Goronong Yellow is the rare Malaysian variant of  the Habanero chilli. The plant is 70 - 100 cm high and shows the Habanero typical bushy growth with spreading crown and lush growing broad leaves.

Placement:

• Full sunny to sunny
• One-year crop in Central Europe
• Temperature minimum: 3 °C
• Planting is possible but is  weather dependent
• Greenhouse, conservatory, film tunnel or something similar is recommended

You should keep in mind that the Goronong needs warm temperatures for optimal fruit set. The planting outside in the field is therefore only conditionally possible. If you place the plant in a sunny spot in the tunnel, you will be rewarded with abundant fruit production. The growth then becomes very vigorous and the plant produces unusually many fruits. This will make a really opulent eye-catcher for your home.

Fruit:

• Ripening time: approx. 60 - 70 days.
• Shape: The fruits show extraordinary shapes with deep indentations and strong structure, with often twisted growth.
• The surface is pleasantly smooth and shiny. The pulp is thin-walled and therefore easy to cut.
• Size: about 5-8 cm.
• Color: fruits ripen from green, through light yellow to an intense and beautiful yellow-orange.

Taste:

Slightly milder in its heat than the Habanero in general with a pleasant sweetness and fruity, lemony taste.

Use:

Especially suitable for fresh salsas: eg. with a pair of yellow tomatoes, finely chopped onions and flavored with coriander a spicy but delicious addition to BBQ chicken.
