Cayenne – The Can-All!

Meanwhile, the red, thin peppers of the breed Capsicum Annuum are to be found in many supermarkets and are to be found in any kitchen, ground, as Cayenne pepper. Originally, the Cayenne Plant comes from Brazil. There, the plant was cultivated by the Tupis. They also gave the Cayenne its name, which means nothing more than hot pepper.

Cayenne baked cheese: mix 1 part ground gouda with 1 part ground mozzarella and 1 part fresh cheese. Cut a red cayenne pepper in fine rings and mix the rings with the cheese. The whole mix now goes in a fireproof form and is baked at approx. 200 degrees until the cheese becomes fluid. Stir once in a while and you have an awesome oven cheese with cayenne aroma which packs minimal heat.
