Fennel - the all-rounder among the herbs
From the fennel plant one can use both the tuber, the seeds and the green. It is very versatile. The seeds can be infused with tea to help with an upset stomach and with feeling of fullness. Also for baking bread, for example, they are very good. The taste of fennel seeds is comparable to that of anise. The fennel leaves are very tasty in combination with fish, but can also be used well in the preparation of salads, dressings and sauces. The fennel tubers are best stored in the refrigerator.
