Aji is the general name for chilli in South America.
The Aji Benito is a very robust variety of the species Capsicum baccatum, which is relatively insensitive to cold, fruits can be harvested until October.
Typical for this species is the branched, spreading growth and a long flowering period with a rich harvest.
As a true "through-flowering" one can harvest continuously and has everything from the bud to the unripe to the ripe fruit on one plant.
It comes from Bolivia, has a hot, fresh, very sweet aroma and is suitable for all hot sauces, dishes, for hot chutneys and pastes.
The fruits ripen from light green to a strong red. They are oblong, approx. 3 x 6 cm long.
Package is sufficient for about 10 plants.
