In Calabria, hot red chillies are affectionately called diavolini - "little devil". The tasty round red pods taste great as antipasti, either "just like that" or for example on cheese skewers.
The extra virgin olive oil in which the delicious peperoncini are pickled is also very tasty - you can enjoy it very nicely for vinaigrettes, drizzled over pasta or dunked with ciabatta.
Really a great chilli delicacy, highly recommended!
