Interesting smoky sauce from the McIlhenny house. There are many big bottles of Chipotle hot sauces but this one is special due to the following two features: the red ripened Jalapenos are not smoked over mesquite wood but over pecan wood which gives them another taste note. On top of this they are mixed with chili puree, created from ripened tabasco chilis, that is also used for the Tabasco Red Pepper sauce. Everything is brought together with some onion and garlic. In heat, it is comparable with the classic Tabasco Pepper sauce but the taste is completely different. A really interesting sauce and the small bottle helps you have a nice tasting.
