The Selvatico is a stunning looking wild baccatum variety. It originates from the forests in the Andes. "Selvatico" comes from the Spanish and means "wild, coming from the forest".
They have a certain resemblance to the Bird Peppers and the Chiltepin. Like all baccatums, the plants grow very large and form a variety of small, sharp, red fruits.
These are very aromatic, reach a size of about 1 x 2 cm and are suitable for seasoning food and for pickling.
