The NuMex Christmas was developed by the New Mexico State University as an indoor ornamental plant for the Christmas season.
The oval fruits, growing upwards in clusters, ripen in a dark red, which is supposed to remind of the colours of the Christian high feast.
They are approx. 2 - 3 cm long and ripen from cream-white via purple to deep red. They are well suited for powder production.
The plant reaches a height of about 20 - 30 cm and offers high yields. Ideal for pot culture.
