The Fatalii belongs to the species Capsicum chinense, which is related to the Habaneros. This very hot variety for lovers of extremely fiery cuisine comes from Central Africa. The plants grow about 70 cm high and the fruits ripen from green to yellow, are about 7-9 cm long and have a diameter of 2-3 cm.

The plant forms long shoots and grows quite expansive. The ripe, pointed fruits hang from the stems like bright lemon-coloured earrings. 

The hotness of Fatalii starts very fast and lasts very long. The taste is fruity and lemony, so that the Fatalii goes well with salsas, but also dried as powder the taste is unique.
