Excellent tomato sauce with basil for your pasta
The finished basil sauce (Italian Pronto Sugo al Basilico) from the Calabrian house Sarubbi smells and tastes really fantastic. Consisting
of fresh tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, basil and salt it captivates with all its aromas, right after opening.
We had to get a spoon to taste it immediately. The expectations were definitely not disappointed, this ready to serve tomato-basil sauce is very creamy and tastes wonderfully Mediterranean.
To use the Prontosugo al Basilico in the kitchen, you can simply heat the glass in a bain-marie.
But beware: First of all, of course, you should remove the banderole and the cap. But if you want to heat the finished sauce in the microwave, you have to unscrew the metal lid before you do so.
You can also use the tomato-basil sauce for example as tomato sauce for a homemade pizza. In this case, simply pour the cold sauce from Calabria onto the rolled out pizza dough and top with other ingredients as you like. Of course you can also season and refine your own sauces with Prontosugo al Basilico.
