Floral Gem is from the group of wax peppers, which always have a pale yellow, waxy colour at the beginning and later ripen to red via orange.
Very often the fruits are still processed in unripe condition, often pickle is the first choice.
With a length of 5 cm and a width of 2 cm, the fruits remain quite compact, but when pickled as a whole they are very suitable for hot dogs.
The plant grows to about 65 cm and the fruits ripen after about 80 days.
The origin of this variation is said to be Bolivia. The heat varies between 1000 and 5000 SHU.
