A CULINARY JOURNEY THROUGH INDIA

Indian cuisine is currently finding more and more followers. One of the reasons for this is that many dishes are super tasty even without meat and vegetarians love the delicious curries without meat side dishes.

Typical Indian Spices

Typical Indian spices include cumin, anise, chilli, curry, coriander, cardamom, turmeric, cloves, mustard and cinnamon. These and other spices are components of the traditional Indian Masalas.

What does Masala mean?

Masala is a typical term from Indian cuisine. The meaning is actually just "spice mixture". So there are for many dishes, the own Masalas, so spice mixtures. For meat, fish and much more. The Tandoori Masala, for example, is particularly well known. Typical ingredients are mortar chillies, cumin and coriander seeds. For the Tandoori chicken, for example, this spice mixture is mixed with yoghurt and other ingredients and the chicken is placed in it.

What is curry?

Curry is a popular Indian dish that is available in a variety of flavours. Curry is the Indian version of our home-style stew.

Cooked in a large pot, there is a variety for every taste. There are hundreds of different curry blends that vary by region, season and cook in India. For example, hot curries are typical of southern India, whereas mild curries are more common in the north. And for those who like their curry particularly spicy, a pinch of cayenne pepper will give it a special kick.

Many vegetarian curries also lure vegetarians into Indian cuisine. With the different spices, every curry is a real treat.

Without flavour enhancers

That's good to know: The World of Taste spices are all without flavour enhancers, artificial additives, preservatives, trickle aids, cheap fillers and without colourings and flavourings!
